Afternoon Benagil Caves

Join us for an exciting afternoon aboard the Santa Bernarda pirate ship.

Departing from the lively port of Portimão, where remnants of the city's industrial heritage can still be seen in its architecture and cultural landmarks, we cruise tranquilly along the Arade River,passing Ferragudo's picturesque village and it’s historic Fort of São João do Arade castle to Ferragudo lighthouse, where sails are raised. Sailing southeast on the open sea along Lagoa’s stunning coastline, take in the fascinating Algar Seco rock formations.

Reaching the Alfazina lighthouse we transfer to specialised cave boats to explore Carvoeiro, Benagil, and Praia da Marinha’s enthralling caves, with an optional dip – plank jump for the brave.

Marvel at the cathedral-like Benagil Cave and keep an eye out for playful dolphins on our return.
